What is the best way to make money blogging…?

how do I drive the readers to my blog. Should I be set up on Blogger, Wordpress or my own web site. Advertise, Pay per click, how is it done?

Have you read the recent Doonesbury cartoons. They are about a journalist who gets laid-off at the newspaper and decides to support himself by blogging. I can’t summarize all the ideas but he is thinking exactly what you are.
Write to the Wall Street Journal and PC Magazine. They have lists of the Best Blogs. I always visit all the ones they mention..

Why do politicians lack an internet presence?

It seems that companies cannot do well unless they are online, marketing everywhere, sponsoring tournaments, setting up microsites, blogs, & rewards programs. How can politicians get their message out with a site, a blog, and a myspace page. I know they have excellent coverage in news, but it seems that we’re in a time when people want more and more information from the people they are going to elect.

Most politicians do have web presences. You can generally find many sites for the politician you are interested in by typing their full name in a google or yahoo search. You can also get contact information for house reps by going to www.house.gov and for senate members by going to www.senate.gov. Some politicians also use .us as part of their email along with .gov.

how can i increase my site and blog traffic using twitter?

i heared that people got more traffic with twitter, is it true? and how can i do it?

Yeah, the key is to tweet more and grow your list of followers. The more you tweet the more visible your profile would become. Try not to make every tweet about your site.

You can check out my twitter (http://twitter.com/kpfingaz) and see how I tweet and do it like that. Every now and then I tweet about my site when its really important but the important thing is that you have a link to your site in your profile.

Blogging so it can be seen?

I’m wondering if there is any one blogging tool or site that is more readily accessible by the internet public at large. I’m wanting to blog, and for it to be found and read, not just hidden in the dark recesses of cyberspace. I’ve done a blog before, but didn’t keep it up well since I had to tell everyone where it was all the time.

There must be a way to get your blog out there so random people can easily find it. I’d love lots of info about the ins and outs of it.

Thanks for your help wonderful YA! friends!

Afterthought: Don’t tell me about Facebook and MySpace. I can’t do those because they take too many MBs. I’m on a high speed, but usage limited, satellite connection because there are no other options where I am.
werwerw. . . . I really don’t understand how that answered my question or was supposed to be any help to me. Maybe you could elaborate. BTW – I didn’t ask about getting a website.

I’m not sure if Open Diary is popular enough for your tastes, but it’s a great site and the original "Blog" site. Give it a try :)

Have you ever heard of the SEO Software – Only Submitter?

I recently had a bunch of recommendations by internet marketing gurus to take a look at a tool called Only Submitter. Here is what it is supposed to do:

Submit to:

Web Directories (755)
Article Directories (113)
Blog/RSS Directories (82)
Press Release Directories (15)
Video Sites (35)
Podcast Sites (87)
Social Bookmarking Sites (73)

It is a Firefox Plug in.

It is supposed to be customizable.

Here are my questions: Have any of you ever used it?

If you have used it, what do you think of it?

Has anyone ever heard of the guy whose name is on it? (Ross Goldberg)

Is it worth the asking price?

I disagree with her. Directories are key to ranking for someone that doesn’t know the intricacies of link building.

A sales pitch is just that, a sales pitch.

I created the software and it is simply amazing. I’ve never had one piece of software that does so many different things. I am able to complete link building for my sites in less than half the time that it used to take me.

There are other methods of link building that work very well, but this is the only submitter I’ve ever seen that does what it says it will do.

Where is the best place for online journaling/blogging?

Preferably one that you can make private to just a select group of people…and not Myspace or Facebook.

Blogger, through Google.

Here are a couple ways to boost blog Traffic:

1)Try to make it easy for people to subscribe to your feed.
2)Write on other people’s blog but do not spam
3)ping your blog: what that means is it notifies search engines when your site is updated.
