I really dont know much about wordpress and need suggestions on how to make this portfolio look a little more interesting…or at least more professional. I dont know how appealing it really is right now. Any ideas? or other free "blogging" tools I can use for art.

Use a neutral, darker background, a different font (must still be readable) and get rid of the flowery/squiggly thing. . . it is distracting and does not say"art porfolio."
Here is the very dark format used on my first online art site, a Xanga page: http://www.xanga.com/seyalaterdude Don’t know that I would call it sexy, but I felt the black made my art stand out.
